Everything under Control
Skin cancer can shorten your life! Even harmless looking skin lesions might be dangerous. For this reason professional and safe evaluation is very important.
If you have a suspicious skin lesion or you need a regular skin check we recommend consulting a dermatologist. The dermatologist may recommend further clarification through a histological tissue examination. Depending on the extent of the tumor and the likelihood of a malignancy, a skin biopsy or the complete resection of the lesion may be indicated. In special cases, final wound closure is delayed until the molecular biological testing is completed. When this occurs, the defect is covered with artificial skin. When we have a final diagnosis and confirmation that a tumor has been completely resected, we begin selecting the best procedure for skin closure with minimal scarring.
Potential options include primary closure, local skin flaps, or transplantation of skin or composite tissue. Together with you we find the balance between medical necessity and plastic aesthetic possibilities.
So that you retain control of your skin!
